I have been doodling, drawing, and coloring since I could hold a crayon. Through elementary school I took painting classes, and by high school I had fallen completely for watercolor — something about the way pigment moves on wet paper, slightly out of your control, has never stopped fascinating me.

During my degree in architecture, I fell in love with the many ways of representing a space: the way a single drawing could hold light, mood, and feeling all at once. I chased that curiosity into a Master's in Sustainable Design at the University of Sydney, where I learned to design with intention. Then life began to redraw my path. Marriage was the first step that led me into this field, and once the baby arrived, motherhood made it my way forward. Days shaped by little hands and the quiet rhythm of home called for a different kind of creative practice, one that could live on a page, fit inside the pockets of the day, and still be wholly mine. So I turned to graphics, where I could build whole worlds without leaving the room..

These days, my inspiration comes from everywhere: the latest design trends, the artists I have admired for years, and just as much, my six-year-old's school art. There is a freedom in how children draw, completely unbothered by whether something is "correct," that I am constantly trying to chase in my own work. Every scribble taped to my studio wall sits right alongside my mood boards and reference books, equally valid, equally inspiring.
 
I have spent these past years finding space to create while raising my son largely on my own. These days, I'm grateful to be doing it with someone wonderful by my side too. There is something quietly meaningful about creating art for couples starting their own journey together, while continuing to build my own. It has taught me patience, resourcefulness, and an even deeper appreciation for love in all its different forms, which I think comes through in the care I put into every illustration.
